Time to Talk Day

Time to Talk Day, on February 6, is about openly discussing mental health, breaking stigma, and supporting each other's well-being. It's a day to start conversations that matter.
Almost a million (940,000) older people aged 65+ in the UK are often lonely. Loneliness is linked to higher chances of developing both mental and physical illness.
At Age UK Cambridgeshire & Peterborough we have services which can support older people with mental health. From social opportunities to practical support, we will do our best to support your wellbeing.
Here are the services that we offer:
-
Social Opportunities
Why not come along to one of our Day Centres or Friendship Clubs. Enjoy lots of activities and good company. We also offer befriending, where you can have a Volunteer either visit you or call you on a regular basis
-
Practical Support
We also offer some practical support services too which can support you with your wellbeing as well. Community wardens can visit you regularly for a chat and support you with small daily tasks. Our Hospital Support Services can offer welfare visits if you have recently been in hospital.
Get Involved
You can also volunteer to help reduce loneliness. We are always looking for volunteers to support our services. If you can spare an hour a week, why not volunteer to be a befriender or help at a Day Centre.
