Egg-cellent Easter Fundraiser!
Published on 21 April 2022 11:23 AM
Families joined us and enjoyed a wonderful day participating in our Easter Discovery Trail in the sunshine!
The cemetery was explored as children followed their clue cards, and many more people discovered the beautiful green space in the heart of Berkhamsted town. The amazing clue cards were designed by Lizzie Martell’s Illustration and the children could keep these as a colour in memento, and on completion of the trail, children were rewarded with a chocolate Easter egg!
After completion of the trail many stayed, enjoyed the weather, and purchased refreshments!
We’d like to thank the amazing Lizzie for her wonderful artwork on the poster, clue cards and signage and her involvement in marketing the event, it’s been a pleasure working with you! If you'd like to see more of Lizzie's work visit Lizzie Martell Illustration.

A big thank you to all the volunteers and team at the Rectory Lane Cemetery who helped at the event, we couldn’t have done it without you and finally we thank all who attended and supported us on Saturday it was an amazing turn out!
The money raised at our Easter Discovery Trail will be split between ourselves, Age UK Dacorum, your local independent charity, our mission is to promote the well-being of all older people and their carers and Rectory Lane Cemetery, a beautiful green space in the centre of Berkhamsted rescued from neglect by a Lottery Funded programme of restoration, landscaping, and events. Looked after by volunteers for the benefit of the whole community.
We raised an incredible £800, so thank you again to all those who stopped by Saturday, we hope you enjoyed the day and a little bit of Easter magic!
