This is a chair yoga class for anyone over 50 supported by Age UK Dacorum. All the class is conducted from a chair or standing. There is no lying or kneeling on the floor.
The class concentrates on relaxation, breathing exercise and gentle stretching. It is not a strong physical workout and is suitable for beginners.
Those who have attended the class have found that the class has a calming and relaxing effect and provides gentle exercise which helps with flexibility and balance.
All equipment is provided. Students should wear loose clothing so that they can move freely.
No previous experience of yoga is required. If you have never attended a class before you are very welcome to come along and try out a class. You will be able to pick up the yoga very quickly and it is perfectly OK to join the class at any time.
