Coronavirus Pandemic

Memory Support Care Groups have reopened (with adherence to Covid19 rules and regulations ) with 5 new clubs - 2 in Aldbury and 3 in Bourne End. Please call us at 01442 259049 and leave your name if you are interested.

Last year when the pandemic lockdown started our Memory Support Care Group went online. They have now had their 52nd Zoom session -  completing a whole year on Zoom! Read about what they did - A Whole Year of Zoom!

Our Cogs clubs (Brainwaves) are closed but with restrictions being lifted, we are looking to restart them soon. Please call us at 01442 259049 if you are interested in joining. At the moment we are supporting our clients with telephone calls, zoom meetings, providing activity packs and garden visits (when permitted).

We are looking to recommence our Memory Loss Home Support when restrictions are lifted.

  • Cogs Clubs (Brainwaves)

Our Cogs Clubs (Brainwaves) are modelled based on Cognitive Stimulation Therapy with specially-designed activities to support people experiencing mild to moderate memory problems.

  • Memory Support Care Groups

Our Memory Support Care Groups are groups for people living with memory loss and their carers. They are offered under Hertswise, a Hertfordshire-wide service designed to support people living with low-level memory loss or mild cognitive impairment.

  • Memory Loss Home Support

Offered under Hertswise, our Memory Loss Home Support service provides one-to-one advice and support for people affected by memory loss in their homes.

What is Hertswise?

Hertswise is a Hertfordshire-wide community dementia support service providing specialist dementia advice and information, group and one-to-one support sessions for those living with dementia/memory loss and their family, friends or carers.

The service is delivered by a partnership of community and voluntary groups including Age UK Hertfordshire, Age UK Dacorum (that's us), Hertfordshire Independent Living Service, Herts Mind Network, Herts Help, POhWER and Carers in Hertfordshire.
