We have an exciting new programme of events and activities for September - these are just a few of the highlights.

 

Something for everyone – four activities to explore.

The Incomparable Padwick’s Show is back.   

Returning on the first Thursday of the month each live show will comprise a selection of music, comedy and history at St Peter’s Church Hall, Vera Avenue, Winchmore Hill, London N21 1DN. 

The show will begin sharp at 2pm so please arrive by 1.30pm and will finish at 4pm.    Tickets can be purchased on the door at a cost of £5 which includes tea and cake.

Dates:  7th September, 5th October, 2nd November and 7th December

 

Ageing Well

On Wednesday, 27th September, the iCan team invite you to join them for expert advice and information about ageing well and staying healthy in later life.  

There’s a full day of activities including blood pressure testing, active minds session, a Mindfulness taster, various exercise sessions, Stitch! Crafts and Classes as well as a number of stalls where you can get further relevant information.

Time: 10.30am – 3 pm

Venue: Our Lady of Mount Carmel & St George, 45 London Road, Enfield EN2 6DS

Movement As Medicine

Exercise and moving around can reduce blood pressure, lower cholesterol, strengthen bones and help reduce the risk of some cancers.

We are offering a free taster exercise session on 19th September at 12.30 pm for an hour, at Level 2, Forest Primary Care Centre, 308a Hertford Road, London N9 7HD.

Want To Improve Your Chess

There’s a 6-week course available at Enfield Town Library, 66 Church Street, Enfield EN2 6AX from Thursday, 14th September.    From 4-5pm each week, you can come along and learn from scratch or build on your existing skills.
