"I am so happy that we are able to help a local independent charity"

Our Day Centre Coordinator Aimie Boyd and Ann who attends the day centre at Leeson Court were delighted to pop along to Towcester at the beginning of May to be presented with a generous donation from Waitrose.

Waitrose Partners Julie [above second from left] and her colleague Jenny wanted the donation to go to a local charity that helps older people.  They have donated an amazing £1,250 to help our day centre at Leeson Court in Towcester.

Julie said “It is lovely to be able to present this cheque as I feel passionate to be able to give something to older people in the local community.  I feel older people seem to get overlooked, especially since Covid-19.  I am so happy that we are able to help a local independent charity.”

A huge thank you from all of us at Age UK Northamptonshire.  All donations are gratefully received and they all help us make a difference to the lives of older people in the county.
