We are mobilising resources to support vulnerable older people and need your donations.
We urgently need donations of bread, long-life milk and other staples for our clients. The Venton Centre, York Road, Northampton NN1 5QG remains our hub for donations but we will be implementing sensible protocols to reduce the potential for harm.
We recognise that this is a crisis and we cannot carry on running our services as normal. Our day centres have closed and the way we provide services in people's homes has changed. We have reluctantly had to close the Toenail Cutting Service and, as with our other clients, are contacting people to find out what they need and how we can best support them over the next few months. We are redeploying staff and volunteers and using all available resources to provide support in the most effective way.
Our offices at Billing Road in Northampton is closed to visitors and all our shops are closed. Our Handyperson Service is restricted to fitting key safes only. This will help ensure vulnerable older people can be discharged from hospital.
We would be very grateful for financial donations at this difficult time. We continue to follow government advice to ensure the safety of older people in Northamptonshire.
We are sharing information for patients and visitors to the hospital, as and when we receive it.
