Another year of generosity

Thank you to all the lovely people in this photograph who gave up their Sunday afternoon to sort groceries into 63 bags at the beginning of December.  We are grateful to Cathrine and Catherine of Lions Club Northampton and their fellow Lions for organising their annual Can Collection in the Spinney Hill area of Northampton.

This kind of community project is only possible because kind hearted people support it.  We say a big thank you to everyone who provided a box of tea bags or luxury biscuits, or perhaps a can of baked beans.  Every item will be a nice surprise for a local older person who can feel re-assured that their community has not forgotten them at this time of year.

We will be doing our best to distribute every bag before Christmas, bringing some festive comfort to many local older people.
