Home Services Supporter

Zero Hour Contract
Salary: £8.21 per hour plus travel time and 45p per mile if taking service users out in own vehicle

The Home Services Supporter (HSS) plays a vital role in the day-to-day support of all operations within the Home Services department which is delivered across Portsmouth, Waterlooville and Havant to older and less able community members.

Function of the post

Home Services Supporters (HSS) are expected to work as part of the charity's Home Services provision undertaking regular and on-going practical help, companionship and assistance with everyday living around the home and out in the communities of Portsmouth, Waterlooville, Havant and the surrounding areas.

The HSS will carry out the agreed tasks appropriate to each client upon instruction, which might include a range of responsibilities such as household chores, pension/prescription collection, shopping (accompanied and unaccompanied), accompanied appointments, assistance with correspondence and companionship including supporting clients to attend and participate in social activities.

The HSS will work out of the Bradbury Centre when required and will deliver a weekly timesheet and client payments to the Bradbury Centre, 16-18 Kingston Road, Fratton every Thursday during opening hours. A full UK Driving Licence and own transport are desirable but not essential.
