Wellbeing Coordinator

 

Based at: The Bradbury Centre, 16-18 Kingston Road, PO1 5RZ

Contract Type: 9 Month Fixed-Term Contract

Salary: £19,096.20 per annum for 37 hours, any less pro rata

Hours: 30 - 37 hours per week

Purpose of the job

Age UK Portsmouth is awarded funds by different funders to create and facilitate projects that benefit the wider South-East Hampshire population. The Wellbeing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting the Project Manager in the delivery of different wellbeing projects; to respond to project referrals and assist any beneficiaries in line with the relevant project they are working within.

Depending on the requirements of different projects, the Wellbeing Coordinator may be required to work within multiple projects at a time.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • To proactively work with and report to the Project Manager
  • Support beneficiary wellbeing in responding to project referrals, conducting Guided Conversations or necessary project specific assessments with those referred where required
  • To work within projects that are already implemented, for example Joining Forces, a service created for veterans and families of veterans meaning experience with Armed Forces services is preferable.
  • To deputise for the Project Manager in meetings with funders/external organisations and the AUKP Executive Team
  • To support the Project Manager in developing detailed project plans
  • To action the plans created by the Project Manager ensuring the successful execution of any projects they work within
  • Working effectively with relevant stakeholders for efficient project implementation
  • Write case studies on appropriate individuals with whom you will work.
  • Maintain records to help a range of people involved in providing support to individuals.
  • Maintain records to help monitor performance and facilitate the evaluation of the service.
  • To raise funds when facilitating activities and events to create additional income for the project/s and charity.
  • Support the Project Manager in production and facilitation of external and internal activities, liaising with the other AUKP staff as instructed, and when appropriate.
  • Assist the Project Manager in all aspects of volunteer management
  • Liaise and network with appropriate agencies and in particular organisations dedicated to serving the needs of the beneficiaries of the relevant project/s, and to identify potential service users through fostering of good working relationships.
  • Ensure that interventions are accurately recorded on the charity’s electronic Customer Records Database (quantitative and qualitative data) with an ability to produce reports for Line and Executive Management.
  • Support the supervision of activities, including the staff and volunteers where applicable.
  • Provide ongoing support to service users, on a one-to-one basis, if necessary, whilst maintaining an awareness of safeguarding policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Ability to professionally represent the charity, attend meetings and training, whilst being capable of working on own initiative delivering activities suited to the needs of the service users.
  • Support the Project Manager in ensuring all quality standards and HR procedures are adhered to across the team.

Disclosure & Barring Service formerly the Criminal Records Bureau

Customer Service Administrator

 

Based at: The Bradbury Centre, Kingston Road, Portsmouth

Salary: £9.50 per hour

Contract: Six months Fixed Term Contract

Hours: 37 hours per week

Customer Service Administrator duties and responsibilities include providing administrative and customer service support to ensure efficient operation of Age UK Portsmouth’s Home Services. The Customer Service Administrator will support the Home Services department and colleagues through a variety of tasks related to the department and is responsible for confidential and time sensitive material.

The Customer Service Administrator will effectively communicate by phone, videoconference and email to ensure that duties are completed accurately and delivered to the highest quality in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • To provide general administrative support for the Home Services department
  • Develop and maintain electronic filing systems
  • Digitalise hardcopy papers into electronic Microsoft SharePoint filing systems
  • Proactively support and administer duties of the department with and as required of your line manager
  • Carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, scanning etc
  • Support data input into the charity's Customer Records Management (CRM) system
  • To provide friendly and informed customer service support to the Home Services Service Users as well as telephone, face-to-face and email enquirers
  • Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Develop and update administrative systems to make them more efficient
  • Develop, produce and analyse reports/data using the charity's Charitylog CRM system
  • To maintain centre supply levels by checking stock, notifying line manager as to replacement needs or placing orders as appropriate

Meal Delivery Driver

 

Based at: The Bradbury Centre, 16-18 Kingston Road, Portsmouth PO1 5RZ

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: £9.50 an hour plus mileage

Hours: 17.5 hours per week, any 5 in 7 days including bank holidays, 11:00 – 14:30

Purpose of the job

Our Meal Delivery Drivers are responsible for delivering hot meals to vulnerable, disabled and elderly clients across the wider Portsmouth area. We are looking for our drivers to be reliable team players, who are caring and able to communicate easily with vulnerable clients. You will be required to check the welfare of each service user upon the delivery of each meal ensuring they are safe and free from any harm within their home environment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • To deliver standard/specialist hot meals and optional tea-time packs to users of the Age UK Portsmouth Meals on Wheels service in a timely manner between the hours of 11:30 – 14:00.
  • To hold a full driving license, appropriate business vehicle insurance, and possess knowledge and understanding of the Highway Code and Road Traffic act. A copy of your insurance certificate with business use will be required, with annual updates.
  • Use of your own vehicle, suitable for the purpose of the job role.
  • To complete daily hygiene and safety checks on the vehicle in use.
  • To deliver the correct food to each user at the required temperature logging this information where required.
  • To check the user’s welfare and wellbeing upon each delivery ensuring they are safe and free from harm in their home environment, escalating concerns where necessary.
  • To identify whether there are other needs that people could be helped with - these could be in relation to care of home, feeling isolated, or home maintenance.
  • To encourage users to drink with their meal and encourage hydration.
  • To collect cash and cheque payments as required, always issuing receipts.
  • Adhere to all safe food handling procedures, allergen guidance, food safety legislation including the Food Safety Act and be compliant with all Age UK Portsmouth processes and procedures.

Help Around The Home Support Assistant

 

Salary: £8.91 per hour plus mileage

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 15 contracted hours, potential for overtime paid at standard hourly rate

Based out of: Age UK Portsmouth, The Bradbury Centre, Fratton

Aim of the post

To be on call for any duties required by the HATH team including HATH appointments, HATH project work, administrative tasks and Deep Cleans (this list is not exhaustive).

To ensure continuity of HATH service in the absence of a service user's regular Home Assistant. To cover HATH appointments during Home Assistant absence including annual leave and sickness.

The HATH Support Assistant staff are expected to work as part of the HATH team undertaking household chores inside the homes of residents living in Portsmouth and South-East Hampshire when required.

Function of the Post

  • To work with the HATH Coordinator in ensuring all HATH appointments are covered.
  • To provide general guidance signposting towards all Age UK Portsmouth services, products and staff expertise within the Bradbury Centre.
  • To work within all areas the HATH services operate - Portsmouth, Waterlooville, Havant, Gosport, Fareham and the surrounding areas.

Hours: Zero Hour Contract – paid by hour

Function of the Post

Home Services Supporters (HSS) are expected to work as part of the charity's Home Services provision undertaking regular and on-going practical help, companionship and assistance with everyday living around home and out in the communities of Portsmouth, Waterlooville, Havant and the surrounding areas.

Service support is prioritised via an assessment process carried out by the Home Services office-based team to ensure that local older and/or disabled people's needs are supported sympathetically and enthusiastically.

The purpose of the Help Around The Home service is to safeguard and promote the interests of older people and/or their carers by providing practical services and support to enable individuals to lead an independent lifestyle at home and within the community. Our service is a reliable, high quality source of one-to-one support for older people, giving them the opportunity to remain independent in their own homes, socialise and enjoy later life.

Contract and Operating Hours

By issuing zero-hour contracts, tax and National Insurance will be paid with holiday entitlement pro rata. The Home Services Supporter will work various hours but it is intended that more than 16 hours per week will be offered to the individual depending on the available Age UK Portsmouth client workload. However, we cannot guarantee a specific number of working hours per week. The HATH service operates Monday – Thursday, 8:45am to 5:00pm and Fridays 8:45am to 4.30pm.

Special Conditions
