Afternoon of Entertainment returns

Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin are bringing back their much-loved Afternoon of Entertainment variety show after a two-year postponement.
The star-studded event returns to The Place Telford in Oakengates on Tuesday 20 September and tickets are on sale now.
This year the extravaganza forms part of our ongoing celebrations marking the Queen’s Jubilee and it promises much fun and laughter. The line-up features Black Country stars The Fizzogs, comedy couple Dandy Duo, music from a cappella group Men in Harmony and comedian and artistic director Janice Connolly, performing her stand-up routine as Barbara Nice.
Heather Osborne, Chief Executive of Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin, said: ‘We have missed this event so much and we hope everyone is excited as we are for its return. It’s a highlight of our calendar and we hope older people across Telford and Shropshire come along and enjoy an afternoon full of music, dance and comedy.’
