Volunteers, your charity needs you!

We have a problem: enquiries from prospective volunteers are half what they were before the pandemic.

We are not alone; every charity is experiencing similar issues, but there are currently 150 lonely older people on our waiting list for friendship support. That is 150 people waiting for a visit or a phone call from a friendly volunteer.

We need more volunteers. We are doing all we can to attract new volunteers, but we need your help. Could you do one or more of the following for us?

• Recommend a friend to become an Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin volunteer?
• Take on another volunteering role or another client?
• Help to spread the word by putting up a poster or two in your local area?

Alternatively, if you have any other good ideas that we can use to attract more volunteers, please get in touch.
