Over 600 people gathered together in the recently renovated Guildford Cathedral to celebrate Christmas at Age UK Surrey’s Carol Concert.

The event, which was led by the Dean The Very Reverend Dianna Gwilliams from Guildford Cathedral, was a mix of traditional Christmas Carols and poems read by Mrs Lavinia Sealy DL, President, Age UK Surrey and Sue Zirps, Chief Executive, Age UK Surrey.  The Guildford Cathedral Singers and Surrey Cantata entertained the audience with some Christmas songs.  Dignitaries and Mayors from across the County attended to show their support.

Sue Zirps, Age UK Surrey’s Chief Executive Officer said “We were delighted to hold our Annual Christmas Carol Concert in the recently renovated Guildford Cathedral this year.  It was lovely to team up with the Guildford Cathedral again as part of their commitment to keep people connected with the community.  We were thrilled that The Cathedral Singers, Surrey Cantata and Cathedral Organist performed so beautifully for us.  It was wonderful to see such a large turnout of older people because this free event is for them.  A big thank you to everyone that attended and to those that helped make the event such a success.”
