Hours: 20 hours a week, Mon-Fri - 10.00 – 14.00
Salary: £13,103 (£24,242 FTE)
Location: Laburnum Centre, Bognor Regis

We are looking for someone who is friendly, enthusiastic, and passionate about good food and great customer service. As a Catering Assistant, you’ll join our welcoming team at the Laburnum Centre in Bognor Regis. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering a high-quality catering service across our café, community clubs, and catering outlets.
You’ll be part of a supportive team making a real difference in the community, ensuring our visitors enjoy not only delicious food but also a warm, welcoming experience. Working alongside the Senior Coordinator, you’ll help maintain a high-quality catering service, supporting both front-of-house and the preparation of light or pre-cooked meals.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering excellent front-of-house service – taking orders, serving customers, and keeping the café area clean and inviting.
- Assisting with the preparation and plating of food and drinks.
- Supporting food safety compliance, including completing the ‘Safer Food, Better Business’ Kitchen diary.
- Helping with stock control and ensuring proper rotation of items.
- Contributing to high standards of food presentation, quality, and consistency.
- Helping reduce waste and supporting environmental and sustainability goals.
- Taking part in mandatory training, including achieving or renewing a Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification.

- Experience in a catering or food service environment.
- A positive attitude and commitment to maintaining high standards.
- The ability to maintain exceptional hygiene and cleanliness standards.
