What the service offers
This service offers companionship and support to people living in the York area, to help reduce loneliness and isolation. We aim to help people improve their quality of life, maintain their independence and link people with their local community.
Support may include introducing the person to new social activities, supporting them to access their local community, offering companionship / befriending in and outside their home.
We introduce the person to an Age UK York volunteer, who through regular face to face visits and support will help the person achieve what is important to them.
