Organisational Quality Standards
We are proud to have achieved the Organisational Quality Standards for local Age Cymru partners in Wales.
Our achievement of the Organisational Quality Standards recognises the high standard of our performance as an organisation. It certifies that we are a well-governed and effective organisation committed to the wellbeing of older people, our staff and volunteers and to working in partnership with others. The Standards are externally assessed by industry leaders SGS and endorsed by the Charity Commission.
Age UK Network Quality Assured Organisation
Age Cymru Powys is a recipient of the Age UK Network Quality Assured Mark (2025–2026).
This mark is awarded to local Age UK partners that demonstrate consistently good practice, strong governance, effective risk management, and compliance with the Age UK Network Quality Assurance Framework, above the minimum compliance requirements.
The Quality Assured Mark recognises how an organisation operates and manages quality across its services, and reflects a commitment to continuous improvement.

• Has clear and relevant systems and procedures in place to manage the delivery of consistent, good quality information and advice.
• Monitors its services and seeks feedback from clients and stakeholders.
Warm Powys wins national edie Sustainability Award
Warm Powys, a partnership led by Powys County Council and delivered with a range of local organisations including Age Cymru Powys, has won a 2026 edie Sustainability Award in the Projects & Innovations – Partnership & Collaboration: Clean Energy Pathways category.
The edie Awards are the UK’s largest and most established sustainability awards, often described as the “Oscars of sustainable business”, recognising projects that demonstrate measurable impact, innovation and strong partnership working. Warm Powys was shortlisted against projects from across the UK and announced as the category winner at an awards ceremony held in London on 12 March 2026.
In awarding the project, the edie judges commented:
“This thoughtful collaboration provides a replicable model for rural domestic energy efficiency retrofit, with continuous improvement. It is a great showcase of partnerships benefitting the local authority and community.”
The award recognised Warm Powys for its quality‑assured, resident‑first approach to delivering home energy improvements at scale in a rural county, alongside strong customer satisfaction and long‑term outcomes for households.
Age Cymru Powys is a delivery partner within the Warm Powys partnership, supporting older people and vulnerable residents to engage with the programme and maximise the benefits of improved energy efficiency, comfort and wellbeing in home energy improvements.
