Free Check-Up to make the most of later life for over-65s in Powys

How can we help?

The MOT is an in-depth discussion with an Age Cymru Powys Later Life Adviser covering all aspects of getting older, personalised for your own requirements.

MOTs help with issues that can affect your quality of life, including Finances, Health & Wellbeing, Home, Social Connections, and Future Planning; with the aim of helping you to enjoy later life.

What does the Later Life MOT offer?

Information & Advice

Impartial, confidential support on any topic, such as staying independent, caring responsibilities, and finding and paying for help at home.

Income Maximisation

Are you missing out on money?

Could you benefit from extra money to pay bills, afford help at home or do more of the things you enjoy?

We’ll ensure that you receive all of the money and support that you’re entitled to and help you to apply.

Later Life Goal Planning

To help you prepare for the future you want. Including housing options, retirement planning, and making a Will / Power of Attorney.

 
Social Connection Service

Help to connect with others, including our friendly volunteers, to reduce social isolation.

Wellbeing Services

We are ‘ON YOUR SIDE’ to ensure your rights and wishes are heard in any situation.

How much does the Later Life MOT cost?

The Later Life MOT service is free of charge.

 
Can you visit me at home?

Our Later Life Advisers can visit you at home, at a meeting place, or you can make an appointment to visit our office.
