Calling all Carers aged 50+

We are delighted to invite you to special Carers Wellness events hosted by Age Cymru Powys. Following the success of our carers celebration events in January, we're excited to offer more opportunities for you to relax, connect with others, and be celebrated for the amazing work you do.

Age Cymru Powys is working in collaboration with Carers Trust Wales and Credu to offer several Carers Wellness Taster Sessions this year, leading up to three main Carers Wellness Days in January 2026.

These events are free and open to anyone who is a current, former, or future carer over the age of 50. A carer is anyone who looks after a loved one or friend, helping them to maintain their independence and lifestyle. You are welcome to bring the person you care for, a friend, or another carer you know.

These free sessions will give you a taste of the wellness activities and therapies we'll be offering at our full-day events. Each taster session will be held from 10:30am to 12:30pm and will include refreshments. You can attend one session or as many as you like.

At each event, you can enjoy a variety of activities like light massage, reflexology, armchair exercises, and craft demonstrations, all designed to give you a moment to relax. These are also wonderful opportunities to connect with other carers, share your experiences in a supportive environment, and learn about the support available.

The taster sessions will lead into our main celebratory events in January 2026 to be held in Newtown on 13^th January, Brecon on 21^st January and Llandrindod Wells on 29^th January. These full-day sessions will feature a wider range of activities, a buffet lunch, and more opportunities for relaxation and connection.

All of these events are free of charge, including refreshments. There is no catch to any of this; it's our way of celebrating the incredible work you do every day.

We simply ask that you contact us at least two weeks before your chosen event so that we can manage numbers and provide you with further details. Please call or email Age Cymru Powys with your chosen venue and the name of your guest (if applicable). We also need to know about any dietary or accessibility requirements.
