Age UK Isle of Wight is an independent charity working across all Island communities to provide services to residents aged 50+, their carers and families. Our vision is to enable older people on the Isle of Wight to live well, independently, while not feeling isolated or lonely.  

About the role

We are currently seeking Support Workers to join our JAY (Just About You) home help service. Our dedicated team of Support Workers are committed to helping clients maintain their independence and live comfortably in their own homes.

We provide support across the entire Island, tailoring our services to meet the unique needs of each client. Whether it’s assisting with shopping, cleaning, meal preparation, or simply providing companionship and taking them out for a cup of tea and cake, we are here to ensure our clients receive the support they require. 

Our role is to work with the client to ensure that they are fully supported.  

About you

If you are looking for a rewarding role that has:

  • Available working hours - between 9am and 5pm
  • Real Living Wage
  • No weekend or evening work
  • No personal care or medication administration

To be considered for this position, do you have the following:            

  • A cheerful and engaging personality
  • Empathic, patient and non-judgemental character
  • Ability to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle during your working hours
