First and foremost, Age UK Isle of Wight aims to meet the expectations of the older people and their carers with whom we work. We also aim to meet the expectations of our funders and donors and the expectations of the statutory bodies which regulate us.
Age UK Isle of Wight has a large volunteer force, whose expectations we also need to meet. We are committed to the fulfilment of people’s expectations of us as the foremost organisation serving older people on the Isle of Wight.
In order to demonstrate our commitment to ensuring a quality service in all that we do, Age UK Isle of Wight has developed a quality assurance system that ensures standards are implemented and maintained, and provides a professional focus to all our activities.
BS EN ISO 9001: 2015
In December 2017 Age UK Isle of Wight achieved certification to the esteemed international quality management standard BS EN ISO 9001: 2015. This standard is used by over one million organisations worldwide, and focuses on a process based approach for the development and implementation of the quality management system to enhance customer satisfaction by meeting customer requirements.
We elected to apply for this voluntary accreditation in order to underline our commitment to those who use our services on the island, and our commitment to quality.

We are proud to have achieved the Age UK Charity Quality Standard.
Our achievement of the Age UK Charity Quality Standard recognises the high standard of our performance as an organisation. It certifies that our organisation is well governed and managed; has a clear direction and strategy; and is committed to ensuring the well-being and safety of older people, our staff and volunteers.
