The Big Knit Returns

Published on 28 October 2020 01:14 PM

Welcome back to The Big Knit Campaign. If you’re a knitting pro or just looking to pick up a new hobby – we need your help! We need to knit 8,500 mini bobble hats for the Innocent Smoothie bottles by the start of October this year. Each hat is worth a 25p donation to Age UK Norfolk, meaning we stand to raise £2,000 for Age UK Norfolk’s vital services for older people across Norfolk. Read on for more information about how to get involved…

New to the Big Knit?

The Big Knit is a campaign that Age UK National (our brand partner) runs in partnership with innocent drinks where we ask you to knit little woolly hats which then go on to their smoothies. For every smoothie sold, Age UK receives 25p.

How to get involved

We’d love you to knit lots of lovely little hats for this year’s Big Knit and whether you’re a knitting novice or a purling pro, it couldn’t be easier.

Download the knitting patterns below, make yourself a nice cup of tea, find a comfy chair and knit away!

Hand in your hats

Once your little knitted creations are ready, drop them off or post them to:

  • Age UK Norfolk, Henderson Business Centre, 51 Ivy Road, Norwich, NR5 8BF
  • Age UK Norfolk , The Elms Business Space, 7 The Elms, St Faith's Road, Old Catton, Norwich, NR6 7BP
  • Dereham Furniture and More Store - 31 Yaxham Road, Dereham, Norfolk, NR19 1HRD(opposite Roys)

How does the Big Knit help?

The money we raise from the Big Knit helps us be there for older people who have no one else to turn to – so those little hats really do make a big difference! This year if we reach our target we’ll be raising over £2,000 to support our work with older people, helping to make Norfolk a great place to grow older.
