Published on 16 July 2026 12:13 PM

Age UK Norfolk is delighted to announce the upcoming launch of Communities in Motion: Great Yarmouth – an exciting new programme designed to help older people become more active, improve their wellbeing and build new social connections.

The programme will offer free 12-week physical activity courses for people aged 65 and over living in the Great Yarmouth area. Each course will provide structured sessions in a friendly and supportive setting, helping participants improve their strength, balance and mobility while enjoying the many benefits of regular physical activity.

But Communities in Motion is about more than exercise. Every session will also include time to relax over refreshments, chat with others and build new friendships, creating opportunities to reduce loneliness and become part of a welcoming local community.

Booking will open soon, with places available by advance booking only.
