Facilities Maintenance Health Safety Assistant
Location: Waterside House in Irthlingborough
Rate of pay: £12.88 per hour
Hours of work: 25 hours per week across five days
About the role
We are recruiting a confident individual with strong organisational and time-management skills to proactively support the Health & Safety Consultant and Facilities Manager in the delivery of administrative and compliance-related tasks.
This role includes conducting statutory health and safety checks at various sites across Northamptonshire, scheduling and documenting maintenance and repair activities for all sites, and ensuring all properties meet required health, safety, and operational standards. You will also liaise both on site and over the phone with contractors, supporting planned maintenance programmes, and ensuring records are maintained in line with legal and organisational policies.
About you
Access to a vehicle and a full valid driving licence is essential with business insurance; excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. A good understanding of maintenance skills with a hands on approach. An understanding of Health & Safety principles and regulations is essential but training can be provided to the right candidate. Previous experience in a facilities or Health & Safety role is desirable but not essential.
