Location:   Covering the whole of Northamptonshire

Rate of pay:  £12.33 per hour

Hours of work:  Two posts - Monday to Friday, five days a week

1 x 30 hours Monday to Friday 10am – 4pm
1 x 30 hours Monday to Friday 4pm 10pm (Not available until December 2025)

About the role

The Community Responders Transport Service works in partnership with NHS Northamptonshire Integrated Care Board and is part of the Community Responders Team.  You will work in collaboration with the Community Responder Triage Coordinators and the Lead Driver to provide safe, reliable, and compassionate transport for older people, adults with mobility challenges, and other vulnerable members of the community.  The role supports access to essential services such as healthcare appointments, social activities, and wellbeing support.

We are recruiting two caring, trustworthy people to drive our specially adapted minibuses to support access to essential services such as healthcare appointments, social activities, and wellbeing support.   You will also be required to meet all legal requirements relating to the vehicle operation.

About you

We need someone who enjoys meeting people and will be dedicated to ensuring that their passengers feel safe and well cared for.  This part-time job can be very rewarding as you are making a positive difference to your community.  It is important that you can be patient and appreciate the need to treat all your passengers with dignity and respect.    You must be able to provide emotional reassurance and friendly support to passengers, many of whom may be anxious or feel isolated.  In return you will become part of our friendly team of drivers who look forward to coming to work and know that they are appreciated for their kindness.  D1 on your driving licence is required.
