SPRING Community Connector
Location: Waterside House, Irthlingborough
Rate of pay: £14.31 per hour
Hours of work: 22.5 hours per week

SPRING is a partnership of social sector organisations, commissioned by Northamptonshire Health & Care Partnership, to improve the wellbeing of people in Northamptonshire using Social Prescribing.
We take a person-centred approach and a holistic view towards wellbeing. Our goal is to help people to take a leap forward in managing their wellbeing and long-term health conditions.
About the role
Social prescribing empowers people to take control of their health and wellbeing through referral to SPRING Link Workers who take a holistic approach to an individual’s health and well-being. SPRING connects people to diverse community groups and statutory services for practical and emotional support. The SPRING Community Lead will develop and promote activities for clients of SPRING services.
This role will bring in new referrals to SPRING and work alongside the link workers, taking their guide on groups and activities that will benefit participants. You will be pro-active in developing strong links with local agencies and also work with group facillitators promoting new community groups and working collaboratively with local diverse partners. You will engage in supervision and training with an active commitment to personal development.
About you
We are looking for a team player who has effective organisational skills and can plan and prioritise on their own initiative. You will need a high level of written and verbal skills and a commitment to reducing health inequalities and reaching people from all backgrounds and communities.
