Telephone Befriending Co-ordinator
Location: Waterside House, Station Road, Irthlingborough NN9 5QF
Rate of pay: £14,882 per annum ONE YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT
Hours of work: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday four hours per day
About the role
We are looking for a well-organised, confident person to co-ordinate the Telephone Befriending Service, ensuring that activities are running optimally and safely for both clients and volunteers. You will ensure that the Service’s approach is person-centred and holistic, and monitor referrals to the Service with care. By working closely with the Volunteers Manager you will ensure the processes and systems of the befriending service run smoothly and effectively, whilst recruiting, training and supervising the befriending volunteers.
About you
Our Telephone Befriending Service Co-ordinator needs to have a positive and "can do" attitude and a commitment to the charity's mission and values. We are looking for someone with a sound understanding of GDPR and communication consents, excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office 365. You will need to be a good listener with excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and volunteers.
