Bereavement Support Groups

The Hummingbird Bereavement Service and sAge Bereavement Service are launching three structured bereavement support groups in Northamptonshire, in Corby, Northampton and Brackley.

• The monthly groups will be jointly facilitated by the Hummingbird Bereavement Service and the sAge Bereavement Service
• The groups are free and for anyone aged 18+ living in Northamptonshire who has been bereaved in the past 18 months.
• They offer a safe space that will be facilitated by trained bereavement counsellors to support people with their grief.
• People can often feel isolated after the bereavement of someone significant to them, such as a spouse, partner or close relative and the groups will also provide opportunities for peer support and social connection with others who have been bereaved.

Locations

The monthly bereavement support groups each last two hours and will be held at:

• Corby Lakelands Hospice, Butland Road, Corby NN18 8LX
  Third Wednesday of the month
  10.30am to 12.30pm

• Northampton The William and Patricia Venton Centre, York Road, Northampton NN1 5QJ
  Third Wednesday of the month
  2pm to 4pm

• Brackley Brackley Medical Centre community hospital, Wellington Road, Brackley NN13 6QZ
  First Wednesday of the month
  10.30am to 12.30pm
