COLD WEATHER PAYMENT
The average temperature in Norwich has been recorded as, or forecast to be, zero degrees Celsius or below for 7 consecutive days.
So, that means if you are in receipt of any of the following benefits, you will be eligible for a Cold Weather Payment:

• Pension Credit
• Income Support
• income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
• income-related Employment and Support Allowance
• Universal Credit
• Support for Mortgage Interest

How much is a Cold Weather Payment?
The Cold Weather Payment Scheme runs between 1st November 2022 and 31st March 2023. You will be paid £25 for each 7 day period of very cold weather between those dates.

At the moment, there is only one payment due, but if the weather remains as cold there may be more Cold Weather Payments to follow.

The payments will be paid automatically, so you don’t need to take any action.
However, if you do not receive your Cold Weather Payment, get in touch with the Pension Service (0800 731 0469) or your local Jobcentre Plus if you think you should be eligible. If you claim Universal Credit, you can put a query on your journal or if you do not have a journal, contact the Universal Credit helpline (0800 328 5644) instead.
