Age UK Norwich Charity Golf Day Raises Over £5,000

Published on 24 April 2023 03:45 PM

On Thursday 20th April, 18 businesses joined together to play an 18-hole Stapleford competition at Barnham Broom Golf Club, raising funds for Age UK Norwich.

On the 17th hole, guests entered the ‘Beat the Pro’ competition with Head PGA Golf Pro at Barnham Broom, Darren Scholes.  Only a few managed to win, with one lucky person winning a voucher for further training with the pro himself.

The day was very well supported by the local business community.  Over 30 locally-based businesses contributed to the successful day, with 14 companies purchasing hole sponsorships.

The main sponsors, Inchcape Norwich BMW, displayed their fantastic cars outside the venue and the sounds of the engines were enjoyed by all the car enthusiasts attending!

Keeler Recruitment kindly sponsored the goodie bags for golfers to take home at the end of the day, and Effective Imaging created the casino disc mulligans, trophies and signage around the course.  Creative Sponge designed the imagery displayed on the screen throughout the day.

The event was a huge success due to the invaluable contribution of the corporate community.  Age UK Norwich is truly grateful for the support received for our first ever Charity Golf Day.  Our staff and the wonderful team at Barnham Broom helped to deliver the best and most enjoyable day for all, and we hope to make this an annual event.
