Jorge's Christmas Dinner

In collaboration with Jorge's Restuarant, we will be putting on a very special event this Christmas as part of their #givingbacktothelocalcommunity initiative which looks to help those who are lonely or isolated – especially over the festive season. 

With over half of 75’s living alone, we support those who are without family, either through changes of circumstances as family move away, or sadly from bereavement, and we are extremely honoured to be Jorge’s chosen charity for this first event.

Hosted by Jorge’s, the event will see 22 older people, who would otherwise be alone at this time of year, brought together to enjoy good company and a wonderful three course Christmas meal. They will be made to feel special through music, fun and gifts, thanks to some generous donations from local organisations. It will truly be day to remember. 

Although Norwich has been voted one of the most lonely places live, events like this showcases the best of what the community has to offer and proves that by coming together, charities, business and volunteers can have the power to make Norwich a great place to grow old.
