New Year, New Activity to try!!

Published on 08 January 2020 10:36 AM

We have partnered up with EPIC Norfolk and Norse Care to offer pupils from Bluebell Primary School the chance to visit residents at the Dell Rose Court to take part in a variety of activities with the residents there. This is an example of the intergenerational work we do funded by National Lottery Community Fund. The Sessions will be group based and led by a fully qualified coach and will include activities such as Boccia, New Age Kurling, Foam Frisbee and Foam Football. There will also be time for the pupils and residents to sit and chat each week. These sessions will help improve the physical activity levels and community cohesion for the pupils and residents. They will provide company for each other and will be a great way to develop and learn new skills.

The sessions run on 3- 4.30pm weekly on Wednesday with the first one due to start on the 8th January 2020. Everyone from the community is welcomed but we request that you inform us before attending.

Some comments from our other intergenerational groups.

“The older people made me have a great day”. “The activity was humorous” . “It was enjoyable”.
“The children make me remember the good old days when my kids where little – it was a time well spent”
