Age UK Norwich's Royal Celebration

Published on 21 November 2023 12:00 PM

On Saturday 18th November, 81 guests joined our Royal Celebration in light of HM King Charles III, hosted at The Hewett Academy for guests.

Guests were welcomed by our CEO Dan, and our Patron Bill, OBE gave a fantastic speech about his memories of the Royal Family and sharing the value of our services.

Throughout the event guest enjoyed live Rock n’ Roll music by the SunRayz Band, a delightful afternoon tea served by Expresso on vintage crockery with plenty of tea and coffee. We received such great feedback and messages from guests following the event; “Thank you so much for inviting me to the Royal Celebration, you all did a marvellous job! All guests who sat at my table thoroughly enjoyed themselves, well done. It was a lovely, lovely time.”

We’d like to extend our sincere thanks to Thanks to The National Lottery Community Fund and Masonic Charitable Foundation whose funding made this possible.

A special thanks to our much-valued community connections for joining us, Paris Back Deputy Lieutenant for Norfolk who delivered celebratory closing remarks to all involved.

Lastly, to our wonderful guests; clients, volunteers Hayden Court, Royal Arch Court and Corton House for demonstrating the true value of connection which inspires us everyday, to make Norwich an age-friendly city.
