Ways we could work together

There are a number of ways your organisation can partner with us.
Choose Age UK Solihull as your Charity of the Year
Please consider choosing Age UK Solihull as your business Charity of the Year. In return we would offer joint branding on our fundraising materials and our events, as well as positive PR and local media coverage.

Sponsorship
We have various sponsorship opportunities throughout the year, from sponsoring our tshirts or our newsletter, to an event. For example, by sponsoring an event you help us with the costs and in return get some great PR and local media coverage for your business.
Group challenge
If you have a team who are interested in taking part in a parachute jump day, sponsored run, abseil, tough mudder or any other type of challenge, please get in touch with us and we can help organise this for you.
Slip Into Slippers
UN International Day of Older Persons falls on 1 October every year and to mark the event, we ask local businesses and schools to wear their slippers for the day and donate £1. In 2020, a total of £2,632 was raised from the initiative.

World Elder Abuse Awareness Day
World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) takes place each year on 15 June. Every year, Age UK Solihull teams up with Solihull Safeguarding Adults Board Business Team for the campaign, which encourages organisations involved in the care sector and the wider public to pledge to help stamp out abuse in older people. We ask our supporters to wear purple – as a symbol colour for dignity – or organise purple themed events and make a donation to Age UK Solihull.
Display a collection tin
Could you display a collection tin in your office or shop? This would help us to collect much needed donations to ontinue our vital work in Solihull.
Donate a raffle prize or service
Could you donate a prize for one of our many fundraising raffles and competitions - perhaps a bottle of wine, box of chocolates or biscuits, bath goodies, gift vouchers, or free services? We always acknowledge your donation at the event.
Send employees to volunteer
Could you send a team to help out at an event or activity? It's a great way for staff to bond by working together to help vulnerable older people. Previous staff teams have volunteered at our supermarket bag packs and collection days.
Run a fundraising event
Your employees could run their own fundraiser to help raise vital funds for our work. They could do a cake sale, dress down day, a sponsored walk or run, or a raffle. There's so many things they could do - visit our Fundraising page or contact us for more ideas!
