The Windlesham Partnership

Older residents in Windlesham will have access to free information, advice and practical support through a new partnership between Age UK Surrey, St John the Baptist Church and Windlesham Community Home Trust.

The new community initiative will launch on 1 October 2026, bringing a range of free services directly to older people at The Link at St John the Baptist Church on Church Road, Windlesham.

The sessions will take place on the first three Thursdays of each month, from 2pm to 4pm, with no appointment necessary.

Age UK Surrey’s Information & Advice team will be available on the 1st Thursday of the month to provide confidential, friendly guidance on issues including benefits and grants, remaining independent at home and arranging care and support.

Residents will also be able to receive practical help with technology. Tech Support Advisors can assist on the 2nd Thursday of the month with phones, tablets and laptops, including settings, apps, online safety and building confidence with digital technology.

The partnership will also feature informal Talks and Information sessions on the 3rd Thursday of the month, covering issues affecting older people and their families. Topics will include planning for the future, scam prevention, loneliness, wellbeing and dementia. The sessions will provide an opportunity for residents to ask questions, share experiences and access support in a friendly community setting.

The organisers say the initiative is designed to make support more accessible to older residents by bringing advice and practical assistance into the heart of Windlesham.

The sessions are free to attend and open to everyone, with no appointment required.
