Volunteers are vital to our organisation. Without volunteers we wouldn’t be able to help and support older people in the way we do.
It doesn’t matter if you have never volunteered before or what skills you have, anyone from 17 to 107 can volunteer with us. If you only have a couple of hours a week or many hours to spare, we would like to hear from you.
Roles vary across the organisation. There is something for everyone. Training and support is provided. Please click below to see more detailed information on our current roles.
If you have a particular skill, interest or hobby you would like to share and it’s not listed on our role descriptions, please do let us know as we are always looking for new ideas.
Donating your time and skills is an amazing gift, please download and complete our simple application form and we will be in touch as soon as possible.
Living Well Waltham Forest is a new project, due to start in September 2017. It is funded by Waltham Forest Clinical Commissioning Group (WF CCG) and London Borough of Waltham Forest and delivered by Age UK Waltham Forest, it aims to support residents of Waltham Forest to make small, positive changes to their lives and attain their goals in improving their lifestyle. The team consists of two paid staff (Health and Wellbeing Officers) and new teams of volunteers and working closely with the different health and social care teams as well as community/voluntary services.
Some residents will have very complex challenges and will require coordination of a range of support from various organisations whilst others may require simple actions such as signposting to services.
The Health and Wellbeing Officers and Volunteers will maintain regular contact, and will work together as a team. We are looking to recruit two new teams on volunteers consisting of Wellbeing Volunteers and Wellbeing Support Volunteers.
