Support for Veterans

Our veteran coordinators David Hale and Alistair Martin are both Veterans themselves and have worked hard to identify veterans in the borough and create a warm and welcoming community for others to join. If you are a veteran, please do get in touch – we are looking to find out what activities you might enjoy or what support you may need.

Coffee Club and Drop in

Come along for informal chat and meet other Veterans at our Coffee Club.

Date: The second and fourth Mondays of the month 1:30-4:30pm

Venue: Age UK Waltham Forest, Waltham Forest Resource Hub North, 58 Hall Lane, Chingford, E4 8EU

Cost: Free

Breakfast Club

The team have also been in touch with the Armed Forces & Veterans Breakfast Club and have set up a breakfast club in Chingford.

Date: First Saturday of the month from 9:00-11:00am

Venue: Greene Man Hungry Horse Pub, Old Church Road, E4 6RB

Cost: £4.00 for a full breakfast

Lunch Club

In association with Leyton Orient Trust we host a monthly veterans lunch club as part of a campaign to tackle loneliness in the community.

Date: Last Wednesday of the Month from 12:00pm

Venue: Leyton Orient Football Club. Entry via the club reception on Oliver Road E10 5LG.

Cost: Free

No need to book any of our veterans service, please just drop by and say hello!
