Every gift helps older people live happier, healthier and more independent lives.

Every donation, large or small, is valued and used where it can make the biggest difference, from offering companionship and practical help to providing vital advice and wellbeing support.

Our values in Fundraising

We are committed to:

  • Following the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Fundraising Practice and its Fundraising Promise.
  • Adhering to their values of ensuring our fundraising activities are legal, open, honest and respectful.
  • Being transparent about how donations are used and reporting fundraising income and expenditure in our Annual Report.
  • Protecting your personal data and using appropriately, with consent.
  • Ensuring fundraising is always safe, ethical and inclusive.

If we can’t accept a donation

We may decline gifts that:

  • Conflict with our mission or values.
  • Breach legal or regulatory requirements.
  • Are damaging to our reputation.

We refer and adhere to the Charity Commission’s guidance on accepting and refusing donations

Keeping you safe

We take special care with anyone who may be vulnerable. If we have concerns about a donor’s ability to give informed consent, we pause or stop the conversation. Where needed, we follow safeguarding protocols to protect wellbeing and safety.
