Bank Dementia Support Worker
Hours: Zero Hours
Location: Various locations across West Sussex, Brighton and Hove
Salary: £12.60 per hour

We’re looking for someone who is caring, enthusiastic, and passionate about making a difference in people’s lives. We’re currently recruiting Dementia Support Workers to join our friendly team on a zero hours contract, with opportunities to work across multiple locations in West Sussex and Brighton & Hove, including Crawley, Horsham, Bognor Regis, Burgess Hill, Haywards Heath, Storrington, and Brighton.
This flexible role offers the chance to support people living with dementia and their carers by helping to create a welcoming, safe, and stimulating environment. You’ll be working alongside our Dementia Services Co-ordinator to deliver engaging sessions and provide compassionate support where it’s needed most.
About the Role
As a Dementia Support Worker, you’ll play a key part in helping to run meaningful sessions that enhance wellbeing, encourage participation, and promote independence. You’ll also support carers by offering informal guidance and signposting to other services.
We are looking for individuals who can cover one or more of the listed locations, depending on your availability and preference.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting session delivery and encouraging member engagement
- Assisting with meals and medication
- Developing and leading meaningful activities
- Providing support and signposting for carers
- Welcoming and guiding volunteers
- Supporting health & safety and promoting the service locally
