Salary:  £15,202 (£25,000 FTE)

Location: Brighton (Hybrid) Option to work across our centres across West Sussex, Brighton & Hove

About The Role

We are looking for someone who has a talent for creativity and a flair for producing engaging content, who excels in a fast-paced world of communications and marketing. We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Communications and Marketing Executive. In this role, you will be instrumental in elevating the visibility of Age UK West Sussex, Brighton and Hove and effectively communicating our mission to a diverse audience. Your responsibilities will include content creation, strategic planning, collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and project management. You will need experience of using social media platforms, CRM systems, Canva (or similar), website updates using Wordpress, Hootsuite, Mailchimp and Adobe Packages.

This is a hybrid position primarily based in Brighton, with the option to work from any of our centres (Bognor Regis, Haywards Heath, Horsham or Brighton), as well as to work from home on a regular basis, with occasional travel for meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation:

  • Develop engaging content for various platforms including social media, websites, newsletters, and press releases.
  • Oversee social media channels to enhance brand awareness and engagement.
  • Create accessible content formats tailored to diverse audiences, particularly older individuals.
  • Assist other departments by producing content aligned with organisational objectives.

Planning and Monitoring:

  • Contribute to the development of an annual communications calendar, identifying strategic opportunities throughout the year.
  • Provide data insights to monitor key performance indicators and support reporting requirements.

Collaboration:

  • Serve as a point of contact for marketing inquiries and collaborate across departments to align efforts with organisational goals.
  • Oversee media inquiries and external content requests.
  • Support the Fundraising team in generating compelling content for fundraising initiatives.
  • Participate in event planning and promotion.

Project Management:

  • Create impactful stories through service case studies and ensure compliance with permissions and confidentiality.
  • Oversee updates to marketing materials and maintain a photo library.
