Salary: £15,600 (£23,088 FTE) 

Location: Hybrid (either Brighton, Horsham, Haywards Heath, Bognor Regis with home working)

About The Role

We're seeking a compassionate individual to join our team at Age UK West Sussex, Brighton and Hove as a Customer Service Advisor. In this role, you'll be an integral part of a team that serves as the first point of contact for our organisation, assisting people with their inquiries, providing information, signposting, and resolving queries efficiently over the phone and via email.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for the organisation, offering assistance to individuals with their inquiries.
  • Provide accurate and timely information to callers and email correspondents.
  • Guide individuals to relevant resources and services within the organisation or external partners.
  • Resolve queries efficiently and effectively, ensuring a positive experience for all clients.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions and outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Empathy and a genuine desire to help others.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using phone and email systems.
  • Previous customer service experience is desirable but not essential.

This is a hybrid position and can be based from any of our centres (Bognor Regis, Haywards Heath, Horsham or Brighton), with the option to work from home on a regular basis. With convenient hours from 10am to 3pm or 9.30am-2.30pm, Monday to Friday, this position offers flexibility for work-life balance.
