Retail Assistant – Allerton 

Full time/Part time

Our Community Hubs are warm welcoming spaces where people can get the information, help, support or advice they need for their situation; come in to volunteer their time or pick up a bargain in the retail section. Each of our six Community Hubs is working towards delivering a range of functions including Information, Help and Support, Advice and Casework, Community Activities and Events alongside Fundraising.  

We are currently recruiting a Retail Assistant to work as part of our team, the role will be primarily based at our Allerton Hub, and may be required to cover across the Bradford District from time to time. Working days will be Mondays to Saturdays, with some weekend cover. 

The key elements of the role are providing an excellent service to customers, sorting and managing donations and supporting volunteers. There will also be Hub opening and closing responsibilities, together with operating the till and banking. 

Retail experience is preferred, along with a positive attitude and excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.  

Please note that you may be required to complete a DBS check, as we occasionally work with volunteers under the age of 18. 

Actual Salary £19,710.68 per annum, (based on 35 hours) / £20,837 FTE 

Salary is pay award pending and will be reviewed in line with National minimum/living wage as of April 2024 

35 hours preferred, however applications for a part time role will also be considered 

Some weekend working required 

5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays pro rata
