Loneliness Awareness Week 2021

Published on 14 June 2021 11:00 PM

Loneliness Awareness Week takes place from 14th June. Hosted by Marmalade Trust, it's a campaign that raises awareness of loneliness and gets people talking about it.

Loneliness is something that can affect anyone of us at any point in our lives, but this issue has become more prominent during the Coronavirus pandemic, making Loneliness Awareness Week more important than ever. Not being able to see family, friends and loved ones during this time has left many people at risk of feeling isolated and lonely.

Loneliness has a significant impact on health and wellbeing, let’s work together to help alleviate its effects in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.  We must talk about loneliness and reach out for support, especially during the current crisis.

Our Sharing Time, Telephone Befriending, Day Services and Friendship Clubs can help to reduce the feelings of loneliness.

If you would like to volunteer for us and help reduce the effects of isolation and loneliness please contact us. Find out more HERE
