Our first ever digital quiz night

On Thursday 7th May we held our first ever digital and LIVE fundraising quiz night via the video sharing platform, Youtube. We had intended hosting a face-to-face quiz night with the Elms Business Space, which is run by Age UK Norfolk, back in April but due to the COVID-19 outbreak we were unable to do so. So when our friends at Shorthose Russell came to us with an idea for a digital quiz, we felt like there was no time like the present...

So at 6.30pm the virtual doors opened on our first online quiz night and by 6.45pm the evening was underway! Paul Edwards, from Shorthose Russell, kindly played the role of Quiz Master Extraordinaire and took us through several rounds including TV and Films, Science and Nature, Sport and Music. Paul was also joined by Age UK Norfolk Trustee, Roy Dickinson, who hosted the Food and Drink round as well as delivering a heartfelt thank you at the end to all involved.

90 sets of viewers tuned in to play along on the night and we're absolutely delighted to report that the quiz raised just over £830 to help support Age UK Norfolk's services for older people across Norfolk.
