Our Clubs and Trips are specifically aimed at those 50+ living throughout Norwich including Arty Party. This club offers the opportunity for clients to explore their creative side and form connections with other people in their local community to combat social isolation. Arty Party is a basic-level arts and crafts session which features a different activity at each session.

There is a short demonstration at the start of the session to instruct clients on the steps involved in the activity. By taking on a different activity each month, clients will learn new creative skills and hopefully be inspired to take part in other artistic activities.  All materials and refreshments are provided.

We are looking for volunteers to help us organise and run this monthly club. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in working with people directly in the community, and for those who would like to help enhance the well-being of participants in a fun and supportive environment.

An Arty Party volunteer will be asked to welcome clients, encourage participation and engage in conversation with participants. A volunteer will also be asked to support our Community Outreach Officer in setting up the venue before the session starts, which will include arranging tables, chairs and setting up materials.

An interest in arts and crafts or creative skills would also be helpful, as well as an ability to motivate and encourage people. Knowledge and experience gained through this opportunity may be transferable for those looking to develop a career in community support, coaching and care. Full training will be given.

Volunteers would be required for the following days and times:

10:00-12:30 – first Wednesday of each month

OR

12:30-15:00 – first Friday of each month

All volunteer roles for Clubs and Trips are subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
