Regular activities at our Wanstead Activity Centre

Meals and Refreshments
Our Activity centre is based at the Allan Burgess Centre, 2 Grove Park,Wanstead, E11 2DL.
There are a range of activities every day ranging from art and craft classes to chair based exercise.
You can get a freshly cooked 2 course meal Monday-Friday.

Computer classes
Want to learn how to log on, send an email, and search the internet? Join our computer classes!
You can learn on a one to one basis at your own pace at our Wanstead Activity Centre.
We also have a specialist class for learning to use tablets and smart phones.
Our recently started Tuesday IT support drop in between 10am and 12pm is proving very popular, if you just need a quick answer to a problem with your smart phone or tablet device, just pop in, no booking required.

Exercise classes
We have an excercise class for everyone!
Our chair-based classes are fun - engaging, getting you involved, and with good tunes to sing along to, while gently working out!
Our Zumba classes, at the nearby Cherry Tree are more energetic, and a great way of keeping fit, while meeting other people.
We have now started a chair Zumba class, Wednesdays 2pm, at the Wanstaead Activity Centre.

The Redbridge Rhymesters is a poetry group led by local poet Alexandra Wilde. Alexandra holds regular sessions at the Wanstead Activity centre where they share poetry with children from Snaresbrook Primary School
