Age UK Surrey's first Colour Run

Loseley Park, is set to burst into colour as final preparations get underway for Age UK Surrey’s first Colour Run, taking place on Grandparents’ Day, Sunday 4 October.

This fun-filled community event invites participants of all ages and abilities to walk, jog or run through the grounds of Loseley Park while being showered with brightly coloured, non-toxic, biodegradable powder. Whether taking part for fitness, fundraising, or simply to enjoy a fun family day out, participants will experience a vibrant celebration of colour set against the stunning backdrop of Loseley Park.

As part of Age UK Surrey's Age Better Together in Surrey campaign, the event has been designed to be welcoming and inclusive, ensuring people of all ages and abilities can enjoy a vibrant day of colour, activity, social connection and community spirit. The celebrations begin with a warm-up from a local fitness instructor and end with a special performance from Prior's Field School Choir, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Families can also enjoy face painting and a colour throw finale.

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the event village featuring local businesses, wellbeing organisations, charities and community groups. Event village partners include:

Alongside these organisations, attendees can enjoy food vendors, refreshments and information from a range of local community groups, ensuring there is something for everyone, whether taking part in the walk or run or cheering from the sidelines.

Proceeds from the event will help Age UK Surrey continue delivering vital services that support older people across the county, including information and advice, wellbeing programmes, social activities, practical support and specialist dementia services.

Participants are encouraged to wear white clothing to maximise the colourful effect and to bring sunglasses to protect their eyes. Registration includes colour powder, a commemorative medal and access to all event activities. Please do not bring your own colour powder – we have ensured the colour powder used is UK-manufactured, EN-certified, made from organic powders, natural dyes and is gluten-free. There will be extra powder available to purchase at the event village.

Places are still available, but organisers are encouraging participants to register soon to avoid disappointment.
