Your Gift That Grows for Generations

Age UK Surrey has launched its new legacy campaign, "Your Gift That Grows for Generations," encouraging supporters to consider leaving a gift in their Will to help older people across Surrey access vital support for years to come. 

The campaign highlights the lasting impact that gifts in Wills have on local communities and aims to raise awareness of the important role legacy giving plays in helping charities plan for the future. 

Across the UK, gifts in Wills generated a record £4.5 billion for charities in 20241, with more than 145,000 charitable bequests helping to fund essential services and support causes close to people's hearts. Legacy income provides a significant and reliable source of funding for charities, enabling them to invest in long-term support for those who need it most. 

37% of the vital work we do at Age UK Surrey is made possible due to people generously leaving a gift in their Will.  

Every single gift in a Will is vital to Age UK Surrey, and plants hope for future generations. A legacy gift helps fund services that tackle loneliness and isolation, provide trusted information and advice, support people living with dementia, and help older people maintain their independence.  

The campaign's message is simple: when you leave a gift to Age UK Surrey in your Will, you are sowing a seed today which grows into a lasting legacy of nurturing protection through our services. Together, we can create a legacy that keeps growing.
