Christmas isn't cancelled this year but we need your help…

As we all know, 2020 has been an immensely tough year but we’d like our older members of Hammersmith & Fulham to know that come what may, we’ll be bringing home the festive cheer this Christmas!

Due to the unprecedented nature of the time we find ourselves in, we’ve been busily working out exactly how we can bring that bit of Christmas magic to older people in the borough. With a stroke of luck, we are able to open the centre for a sit down Christmas dinner with our older friends. Numbers will be limited due to social distancing but for those who can't join us, we will deliver a festive food hamper packed full of treats for them to eat.

Despite the joy that Christmas can bring, AGE UK has found that more than three quarters (77%) of over 65’s agree that the first Christmas after losing someone you love is the hardest.  Sadly, the number of older people alone in our borough this Christmas will be higher than ever.

In light of this, we’re calling on public support to help our older residents feel more supported and less isolated this Christmas.  Please  donate what you can. Each donation will help us bring the magic of Christmas to more.

Let’s come together to make our plans a reality this Christmas - nobody should have to face Christmas alone.

If you’re not able to support financially, please do spread the message far and wide to keep our older residents top of mind.
