Age UK Hammersmith & Fulham Activity Centre to reopen on 10 August
Published on 03 August 2026 08:35 AM
We are really pleased to confirm that our Activity Centre at 105 Greyhound Road will reopen on Monday 10 August 2026 following a temporary pause.
From 10 August, the centre will be open from 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, with activities across the week to help older people remain active, well, independent and socially connected. Sessions can be booked by calling 020 7386 9085 and the new weekly programme is available here. Overall funding challenges mean that we must operate a financially sustainable model, so a daily meal service, the shopping service and Information & Advice casework will not be available. However, a light, low-cost meal will be offered on Wednesdays and Fridays. We will be calling older people who are vulnerable or particularly isolated to let them know about the Centre reopening and we will continue to signpost older people to wider Borough support available to them. For signposting information click here and if you have any queries, please contact Paris Gibbs at paris@ageukhf.org.uk.
While we are pleased to reopen, significant financial challenges remain. The reopening arrangements will be kept under review over the coming months. If sustainable funding cannot be secured, further changes may be needed at the end of September, which could include a further pause in, or closure of, the centre. We value our longstanding relationship with the Council and are continuing to work constructively with them to support older people across Hammersmith & Fulham. We will keep clients, volunteers, partners and other stakeholders informed in advance of any changes.
We recognise that this has been a challenging and uncertain time and thank everyone for their patience and support. We look forward to welcoming people back to the centre on 10 August.
