Cost of Living Crisis

Published on 17 August 2022 05:23 PM

We know times are tough; the cost of living is rising, and making ends meet can be challenging. That's why we've been working hard to find ways to ensure our clients aren't forced to make any more difficult choices than they already have to. Thanks to Tesco and their Little Helps community grants program, we're excited to announce that our lunch clubs will now be just £2!

We're so excited about this drop in price because we can continue our mission of ensuring that over 50s in Hammersmith & Fulham have access to nutritious food that helps them stay active and healthy. It also lets us expand our reach and engage more community members. Staying engaged in the community can help people feel less isolated, having substantial health benefits for older community members.

We understand the cost of living crisis is a worry nationwide for all ages, backgrounds and individuals. We are here as a local, independent charity to work with our community over 50s during this challenging time. We are all here to support you should you make the agonising decision between eating and heating. You are not alone; please accept our hand of friendship, support, and guidance.

There are many ways in which we can support you. Below are some of the many topics you can discuss:

  • Saving Energy
  • Reducing Bills
  • Benefit Entitlement
  • Debt
  • Savings
  • Keeping Warm in Winter
  • Practical Support
  • Information & Advice
