Celebrating Our Amazing Volunteers: Annual Summer Party and Awards Ceremony
Last Thursday, we had the privilege of hosting our Annual Summer Volunteers' Party and Awards Ceremony, an evening filled with joy, celebration, and heartfelt appreciation for our incredible volunteers. It was a remarkable event that showcased the dedication and impact of those who have made it their mission to make a difference in the lives of older people.
Exceeding Expectations: Volunteers' Impact
We want to express our deepest gratitude to our volunteers who have gone above and beyond in their commitment. Together, they have dedicated over 19,000 hours of their time in the past year, surpassing our initial goal of 8,000 hours. This outstanding dedication showcases the unwavering support and exceptional efforts of our volunteers, making a profound impact on our community.
An Unforgettable Celebration
The party was an unforgettable experience, filled with warmth, happiness, energy, compassion, and a strong sense of community. The perfect weather, incredible live music, stunning garden setting, and mouthwatering, home-cooked Mexican food created an ambience of joy and togetherness.
We would like to give special recognition to Toby Anstis for his captivating stage presence, as well as the talented performers Rebecca Poole and Hugh Turner, who mesmerized us throughout the night with their stunning musical performances. Their talent added an extra touch of magic to the event, making it truly memorable.
Honouring Our Volunteers' Contributions
A heartfelt thank you goes out to our Volunteer Chef Crew, whose dedication and hard work ensured a delicious 2-course meal for our guests. Their culinary skills and commitment to excellence did not go unnoticed, and we are immensely grateful for their contributions.
We would also like to express our deep appreciation to our community partner, Good Gym H&F, for their unwavering support that goes above and beyond. Their invaluable assistance gave our hardworking volunteers a well-deserved night off, allowing them to enjoy the festivities to the fullest.
